St. George Parish

Rooted in the East Village

Gathering Ukrainian students and young professionals across New York for Byzantine prayer, shared heritage, and genuine fellowship.

Community origins

A table on East 7th

KAIROS began when university students and recent arrivals started meeting downstairs after Sunday Divine Liturgy. What started as tea and shared dilemmas quickly grew into an essential refuge from metropolitan hurry.

We unite diaspora Ukrainians of diverse backgrounds through open dialogue, Byzantine choral traditions, and direct relief work for our homeland. Everyone finds a seat and a listening ear.

Parish chaplain

True community in New York is rare; young people need a spiritual home where ancient prayer meets honest daily friendship.
